Oh, honey... if you really don't want to go, of course you don't have to. I do want you to know, though, that it's nothing to be ashamed of. Scars show where something has healed. Where something has happened that you've survived. I know it's in no way pleasant to have them there, but you can be proud of what you've managed to get through. They can be reminders of that, too, not just bad things.

Mummy or Daddy will have to take care of it officially, but I can go with you to ask them, if you like? I'm sure they'll say yes, if you really don't want to go. It's completely understandable.
