I get to go to the big LC next year an I am worrried becose Lydia says the girls their are so meen and stuff.

I'm not going to lie to you, Mara. Some of them might be. Unfortunately, that's what happens in schools. So many people are forced to spend time together, and some people just won't get along. But for every person who's mean there, I'm sure there will be a nice person to make up for it. Just as some people have the capacity to be horribly cruel, others are endlessly kind. One thing I do think I can safely say, is that by comparison with a lot of what you've been through, a few mean girls might not seem so bad. I understand if it is bad though, and you can always come to me. There will always be someone available to help you do something about, whether it's a teacher you like, or a friend, or me, or of course Abby and Stuart
