I finaly took the older homeless woman a hamburger and talked with her for a while. She told me how she came to be in the situation she is in now. Her son sold her house and put her in a nursing home. After a few months he stopped paying for her stay, so she had to leave. I passed a homeless woman today. She had long white hair, tangled into a dirty knot. A sad countenance that expressed pain coming from underneath it. It seems like just yesterday I was 18 and still in high school. I was dreaming about having the oportunities I have today. Now that the things I only dreamed of are at my grasp, I find myself wondering if my dreams wern't big enough, or if God has just blessed me so fast that I don't know what to do with any of it. I'v been walking around the city for the past few days with a good friend. It feels so good to have someone from so far away right by your side. We went to a tattoo place and Duck got his septum pierced I did my lip. The only bad part is that now my lip still hurts, and I really wish it didn't. I feel much better. Not quite at home, yet not quite home sick. I have come to appreciate what God has given me, and decided to try being happy with only that. Christ is so amazing... We got to Seattle and met everyone with the label. I got to hang out with people who have made a huge impact on my life. If it wern't for a few of these people, I wouldn't be playing music. I love this city as well. Duck and I walked around town for a few hours a couple and saw some awesome stuff. We will leave Saturday morning... way, way to early to go to the airport to fly into Seattle, where we will spend the next month or so ironing out an album. I'm home for about 10 days or so before my next little adventure. I learned so much on the road. Most of all I learned that I take way too much stuff far too seriously.
