And yes, people realize that all the guys see the posts, which is the stupid point. From the message I got about this year's 'I like it on the table/on the floor/hanging from a hook' game: "we had men wondering for days what was with the colors...Let's see how powerful women really are!!!" Please. But I've already hashed it out.

I think healthy jealousy merely seeks to protect at all costs the goodness of exclusive love. It guards the relationship -- the give-and-take between two people -- not the ownership of one individual's affections to serve the insecurity of another individual.

Also...it helps to remember that God made both our bodies and our desires good, first. (Remind me to let you read A Requiem for Love.) They're broken now, and they betray us all the time, but God still seeks to redeem them while we're here. We were created for pleasure -- and when our pleasure is aligned with God's, it's an amazing thing. Food - good! Drink - good! Sex - duh! So good! Sun on my face ( ... )
