It's dorky to like a teacher, isn't it?
But then again, we aren't a normal school.
And she was no ordinary teacher.

Because her teaching methods were less than conventional.
All I can say is "Colour Purple: the play"
She did things that didn't make sense until the end.
But taught us more than we'd realise.

I don't even know how to post a proper comment on this but i felt i needed to say something...
I never had Miss Watkins as a teacher and like most school kids i just held her in the same regard as all the other teachers intent on bossing me around. the thing is, Miss Watkins was so different, so genuine and always had such a lovely smile on her face. i was hoping to get her next year as a teacher because whenever i spoke to anyone about her a-level classes they always had something good to say about her. no one ever mentioned her ever getting angry or being unecessarily mean. its all such a shock and the thought of not seeing her wandering around school next year is horrid. Rest in peace Miss Watkins. all my respect.

Thanks for uploading the video. Mrs Watkins was a wonderful teacher, always authentic and sensetive in what she said and a vigourous thinker. I still can't believe a person who could give so much more is no longer here. It was the little things too that meant a lot, like offering her phone number a day before the exam just in case I had questions, recognising me from a story I had written a year previously or just recommending perfect books. Looking back on that class we had a lot of fun, I should have believed a lot more in our acting skills. (I'm not 100% sure who you are - is it lucy? - but I'm Fiona from English who somehow landed here from Myspace :))
