I am trying to think of stuff in Sandman that would be objectionable for kids that age, and not coming up with much. But I haven't read it in a loooong time.

Well, the bloodbath in the diner fucked me up, and I was 22.

And there's a lot of general sex and violence and dark underbellies of human nature. I would not give it to most 13-year-olds. But I think this one can handle it. (I did warn her that it's pretty dark and intense, and if she doesn't like it she should put it right down and try again in a few years.)
