I'm getting into the steamy side of punk/goth and realized I don't really have anything to wear or use for props. I cannot afford a whole new Genre of oufits, mainly what I pick up at thrift stores and stuff

Nice..lucky..I dont have cash or the outfits for that event. I have some nice frock coats, but thats about it. Its good for the club, but nothing fancy enough for this event :/
i'm the whole way up in Pennsyltucky (and don't know you from the holes in my nose), but i sew. i'm currently trying to work out the construction of your Kroenen mask (productive use of my work day) and a steampunk-modern-Victorian outfit for a ball next month...
Where in PA are you? I'll be there for the NIN concert in Philly on 29th and then Draculas Ball on the 30th.
Ive almost given up on the Kroenen costume.. if I don't figure out somthing really soon I may not have time. I may do the baseball batters hat thing for the mask, and get a circle cutter for my drill to maybe cut the eye holes, assuming it wont crack the plastic too much. The chest plate is the bitch.. its detailed..maybe I can cut it out of plastic or something hard, and use clay and glue to shape the design , and then spray paint over it so its shiny.
The rest of the outfit is pretty easy, besides the mask. I can easlly make the swords/knifes out of foam and paint and already have a trench, and can get leather and stuff.. ect
argh. I alway procrastonate and wont have any costume for halloween :/
if you can get me really good photos, i can get sketches and stuff together for you. not an issue. i'm actually watching Hellboy and the only real difference i can see between Kroenen's masks is color. i figure whatever it's made from, if you mold it to already have the eyeholes, all you would need to do then would be to sand them down and add the goggles.
the chestplate i haven't paid much attention to to be perfectly honest. but again, i know a large variety of nerds (as well as having access to a pretty decent theatre department) who could probably do armor.
there is the possibility i will be at Drac's Ball - i'm like an hour and a half out of Philly. about the same distance from Baltimore.
Halloween is my happy time. for what it's worth, between working on Goblin Ball, finishing up Pride and pageant outfits, and beginning designs for a wedding - well, it's a damn good thing i know what i'm doing already. i just have to start putting the pieces together.
