For a second when Telrim PINpoints them in all is dark, until the Controller hits the light switches. "Cheeez, whadd'ya folks do here?" The blonde asks, shifting to a more balanced stance. The lack of visual exirs, the hidden objects, and the smell of the paint all made her nervous. It smelt like an ambush to her. Her hand drifted towards her hip, fingers flexed and ready, then she remembered that she was practically unarmed. "Others?"

"Here? We store things," Telrim says, moving towards the table. "Things nobody outside is particularly interested in, which is why this place is safe."

She rests a hand on the back of a chair as she looks around at Rattrap. She can detect the vampire's wariness - or maybe she just expects it, because it would make sense under the circumstances. "I'm expecting two other people at least. One who's bringing data on the problems we need to discuss, and the volunteer I promised."

"Store things? So what's up wit' th' windows?" She glances up, her nostrils flaring. The smell from the paint made her head spin, and she disliked it. She couldn't just turn off her nose like she could before.

Turning her eyes back to Telrim, she takes cautious steps towards the table, chewing on her lip. "'m I s'pposed ta sit?"

Telrim shakes her head and picks up the bundle of clothes from the table. "I thought you might want to change first," she says, showing it to Rattrap. "And the windows are for your benefit. Sunlight is supposed to be harmful to vampires - we decided not to take any chances."

Not strictly true. There are layers of old paint under there. But what else is she going to say: the birds might spy on them?
