I find that Pokémon are much like animals in that regard, yes. Their company is just as pleasant, or even more so, as the company of another person.

I agree. And they don't try to harm you or ignore you...they might be hard to take care of at times, but they really do love you in their own ways.

The one I am caring for does not does not do anything like that. However...

[If he looks at the top of the feed, he might be able to see the bottom of the bird settled comfortably on her head. Rider is not amused :|]

...They each have their own...unique quirks.

No, actually, I think she has issues of too much loyalty- she tried to bite a random guy when he accidently bumped into me on the street. Needless to say, she's rather overprotective.
