If you're going to aim for something, might as well shoot high and fall back than shoot low and go nowhere fast.

Those who aim at nothing, usually hit it.

Has life calmed down a bit for you?

Australia is coming together quite nicely. As I commented on your Myspace page, we have our tickets for the Oz flight: fly out of LAX October 19th...fly back into LAX on November 13th. Our flight out of LAX leaves at 11:30pm, so we are hoping to get an early-ish flight in to California to have plenty of time before our flight out. Seriously, if you are close enough to LAX and don't have anything to do on a Sunday afternoon, stop by the airport or show me around LA, ha :) Still have to purchase the domestic flights, but I am not as anxious about those two. The Aussie flight was not as expensive as I feared it would be, though. We are not flying Qantas, which kinda bums me out, but Air Pacific is a good airline as well...plus we have a short layover in Fiji, so it's all good. :D ( ... )

Sounds like a nice time to stop and think about where you want to go from there after your Oz trip! We'll see about visiting, I have no idea what's going on that far ahead of time. I'm actually going up to San Francisco this weekend for my internship to do releases for one of our species. We're gonna hit Monterey Bay Aquarium too. For some reason, I'm super nervous and stressed about it. It's a 7 hour drive, and our carpool wants to share driving duties. I've really, never driven for longer than 30 minutes before, and that's a personal journey I would rather do by myself. That's me being a super-invert, can never try anything new with other people. Which brings me back to really wanting a new car that I can actually trust not to break down ( ... )
