Living in the shadow of a fire.
... Quite literally. We had three or four fire reports today, the only one apparent is from Porter Ranch, the other side of the hill. The others, I presume, were put out. Half Asleep
I just woke up. Not really ready to really crash for the rest of the night, I'm feeling a little anxious over the next few days. I have a test on Tuesday I still haven't studied for, which I do think is a major mistake on my part. I know, somehow, I'm going to regret it, and I'm hoping it's not going to be in reflection of grade.

Can't believe I'm still awake...
This has been a really long week. I'm surprised I'm still even awake at this point. Well, no I'm not. Ethel, my rat, is making a ton of noise right now. The lights are off, so I can't even see what she's doing, but it's pretty obnoxious.

A little break...
I'm sitting here waiting for my bulk of files to finish transferring to my new laptop, thinking about the past few days. It's been intense around the greenhouse, around the house, in the classroom... I've been managing to stay on top of everything like I never have been able to before. It's a good feeling.

I really hate when I wake up one morning and realize instead of living it up as a 20 year old, I've once again started waiting for life to happen. Like it's going to fall into my lap.

My teacher said all humans want is to show how they're more dominant than each other and more dominant to other species.
