this poem was composed by a camper and published in the camp newspaper last week:
i wish i were a firefly, for they are never glum, for how can you be grumpy when the sun shines through your bum?
i also learned, today, that there are fireflies on the west coast too! but west of the rockies they use pheromones instead of bioluminescence. so no glowy sparkly bits, no disconnected coyote eyes twirling through our nights. i'm glad you get them.
