Ingram was there? What happened?

Well, the White Star showed up but that can wait for the newspost in_yo_veda November 11 2009, 18:26:44 UTC
The Aerogaters attacked both us and the A-LAWS while we were engaged outside the station. Ingram was leading them in the R-Gun, but when Setsuna shot it down, he warped in some kind of new unit based on its design. It was...impressive.

Rai saw the word Ingram. That's all he needs. icemanr2 November 11 2009, 18:30:05 UTC
And the 00-Riser drove him away? He was powerful enough that you couldn't beat him without it?

It seems unlikely that we would have. As it was, it seems like he was merely gauging our defenses, and left as soon as Setsuna landed a solid blow - which he wouldn't have managed without 00-Riser being able to do something it really wasn't supposed to be able to do...

More tests would definitely be wise. I'm not arguing with the results it got us, but I can't help but wonder how we lucked out to such a degree.

The physics behind the Twin Drive System itself are not all that very well researched in the first place. Adding additional, rushed modifications to it in the heat of battle...I'm not that surprised something beyond our initial projections happened. I'd have only been disappointed and not surprised if the mobile suit exploded, actually.

I don't think any of us were expecting that, Tieria. I still don't know what happened myself. It's like... there was this place, like a dream, and I felt so... calm. And then there the voices. I could hear... the voices of everyone. The voice of 00.

...what?

I can hardly believe it, either. But I swear that I'm telling you the truth. The whole world disappeared before my eyes. Everything was glowing white... a pure, soothing white. At first, there was no sound, and then I heard a voice. It must've been Louise Halevy. She was talking to Saji. I was too stunned to say anything at all. I felt like I was drowning in my own mind.

...I was frightened, Tieria. And I still am. What's becoming of 00? And what's becoming of me?

It almost sounds like...no, that wouldn't make any sense.

It must be some kind of side effect of such an unprecedented concentration of GN particles. Perhaps a hallucination.

Well I hope you didn't expect that we were the only ones getting new suits.

Hardly. But Ingram Plisken's new unit was a bit over the top...and I hadn't heard anything about the A-LAWS developing something like those suits we faced either. They weren't based on the GN-X line, and I hadn't heard any reports of new research projects on their end.

This would be so much easier if you guys still had a connection to Veda.

You're not kidding.

All of this...the new A-LAWS mobile suits, their ability to develop them in secret, even their possession of Alejandro Corner's false solar furnaces...it must mean they're the ones in control of Veda now.

Hmph. We need more information on their operations - how they're accessing Veda, and what their real goals are, for a start. The GDF's intelligence, while admirable, isn't exactly up to speed. We're going to need to do some independent reconnaissance somehow...
