timed after this thread with JulietWhen Will finally left Juliet's, he was exhausted, mentally and physically. He thought Juliet would be all right, so he wasn't too worried on her behalf, at least for now. Helen had milled about the party all night looking for Will and had no luck in finding him. She'd asked, several people actually, and none had actually seen even a glimpse of him. She was disappointed, yes, but she'd live. Helen wandered into the kitchen to have a cup of tea when she saw Will facedown at the table, curly hair unmistakable.

Helen pulled off one glove and slid her fingers through his hair and down to his collar. "I wouldn't recommend sleeping like this, Will."

He hadn't been asleep, exactly, but he wasn't entirely awake, either, but the touch startled him back to alertness and he jerked awake, pushing his chair back with a startled noise. "God, Magnus," he said, when he realized it was her.

Helen moved her hand, giving him an awkward little smile.

"Ah yes, it's me. I'm quite sorry for being so forward it's just...James used to do that, when he was tired, and I just used to rub his neck and we'd talk and...I am absolutely rambling, aren't I?"

"It's okay," he said. "It's late." He rubbed at his face a little and then really saw her--that dress looked like it could have come right off that Rose girl in Titanic--and shit. The party.

"How was the party?" he asked, taking a long drink of his coffee. It was still kind of hot, but he desperately needed the caffeine and sugar right now.
