Lost in the City Lights Chapter 7

Dec 23, 2011 12:03

It has been a month since Ina was locked inside the supply closet. Christmas is drawing near as the snow continues fall from the December sky. Ina walked to the library to grab a few books for a project she has to work on over the few days she has off for Christmas. "Now where are those books on the Great War," Ina asked herself as she was searching shelf after shelf. After 10 minutes of searching she sighed believing that the books would be at the high shelves. "Shit," Ina muttered to herself as she got a ladder and begins searching at the high shelves. "Oi Ina-chan did you find the books yet," Ina's partners for the project, Keito, Kei and Kota asked from below. "Not yet," Ina replied still searching.

At the same time Daiki, Yuya, Chinen, and Ryosuke were looking for books for their project in the library. "Finding the right books is becoming harder than I thought," Takaki said searching for books on World War Two. "Hai," Chinen, Daiki, and Ryosuke replied. "Let's split up. I'll take the north side of the library. Yama-chan you take the west side. Chii you take the east side, and Taka-chan you take the south side," Daiki said. "Hai," the other three replied as the four of them split up. Daiki was walking to the north part of the library and sees Ina holding five thick hardcover books all about the Great War. "Keito-chan, Inoochi, Yabu-chan I found some books," Ina said loud enough for her project partners to hear, but not too loud for her to get in trouble. Daiki had once again felt that jealously well up inside of him. Ever since Ina told Daiki that it wouldn't be best if they were even friends Daiki wanted to tell Ina his feelings. However, he doesn't want her to get hurt or worse by Nori.

After a long afternoon of researching Ina started walking home. The four of them each went home with a book. Ina is now regretting choosing the heaviest book. 'This book weighs a ton,' Ina thought to herself as she continued walking home. Suddenly Ina heard footsteps behind her. She stopped walking a tensed up. 'Why do I have this bad feeling,' Ina thought to herself as she heard the footsteps come closer. "Ina-chan daijobou," a familiar voice asked concerned. Ina then turned around to face none other than Arioka Daiki himself. "You scared me Daiki-san," Ina said trying her best to stay calm. "Gomen ne. My house is over there," Daiki explained pointing to the house near Ina's own house. "I didn't know you lived near me," Ina said. "Hontou? We live near each other," Daiki asked surprised. "Hai my house is just two properties over," Ina explained pointing to her own house. "Sugoi ne~," Daiki said amazed. Ina shrugged and said, "I guess. Well I better get home before this book breaks my back. Ja ne Daiki-san." At that note Ina continued walking home. "Ina-chan matte," Daiki yelled. Ina stopped walking then turned around to face Daiki. She was very confused. "Nani kore," Ina asked curious. At that moment Daiki rubbed that back of his head saying, "Eeto....have you thought of entering the talent show they're holding at school?" At that moment Daiki was mentally slapping himself for not telling Ina how he felt. "I haven't thought about it. Besides a lot of people at school are probably more talented than me. Don't feel like making a fool of myself," Ina replied honestly. "Well you don't have to compete alone," Daiki said. "Where are you going with this Daiki-san," Ina asked. A tiny blush crept on his cheeks as he replied, "We could enter the talent show together..I mean if it's alright with you." After that suggestion Ina was blushing herself. "I'll think about it tonight," Ina replied. "Alright. Can I see your phone real quick Ina-chan," Daiki asked. "Sure," Ina replied handing him her phone. A few seconds later Daiki returned Ina's phone to her saying, "Since tomorrow's Saturday and we don't have school I put my number in your phone so you can text me," Daiki replied with a small smile on his face. Ina replied with a nod then said, "Then you better give me your phone real quick so I can put my number in your phone Daiki-san." Daiki handed Ina his phone, and she quickly put her number in his phone. "Ja ne Daiki-san," Ina said walking home. "Ja ne~," Daiki replied walking home as well.
