techinically, people are the virus, we spread (multiply), consume and create harmful waste. In every sense of the word, a human is a virus considering the present context. Funny how you say the virus dies when the person dies, that would be true if the virus didnt spread to other people, in this case to other planets. I think it was best said by Agent Smith in Matrix...
