It's a wonderful thing. The drama at my workplace grew to ginormous porportions, so I gave my two weeks last Monday. The new store manager decided it'd be hi-larious to schedule me for five hours next week. I mean c'mon, on Black Friday week?! Anyway, the store is falling apart and it's all because of the newly appointed, and very inexperienced, woman at the lead.

I'm reporting her ass to HR.

Ironically, the assistant manager's (and quite literally the only respected exec in the building) final day was last night too. Hopefully, he'll have a spot for me at his new place of employment, where he's been hired as the new store manager. Wish me luck!

Good for you for reporting her. I hate when women in management do crap (or don't do crap in this case) that gives all us women a bad name.

Thank you! I am most definitely enjoying my taste of freedom, like having more time to myself. I especially like the sleeping in part.
