I absolutely love this story. It's hard to find beck/heather and it's even harder to find good fanfic, but I found both with this story.
The moment when he slips his hand into hers after the bombing of New Bern made my heart jump . . . a lot. It's little moments like that which mean so much to two character that I really appreciate.
So thanks for not making it cheesy. Thanks for being realistic and sticking with canon. It's amazing.
You've inspired me as well to brush off my own muse and see if I can't contribute to this small but much warrented ship for a fantastic show.
Seriously, when I started out this story, I just wanted to write a story about Beck and Heather in the hopes of finishing it, and I'm really going to try to do that no matter what. I'm very, very happy that you have decided to write a story also because I get to read more about this couple :) I'll be reading it as soon as I can...
I've been jotting down some B/H stuff too. Scenes have been rattling around in my head so long I had to get them down on paper. Trouble is, they're immediately replaced with more.
I may eventually post it somewhere, but I keep thinking of new things to add, and I seem to be unable to write it down in sequential order.
I know about having difficulties with sequential order, I originally started this story with the idea of an older Beck and Heather being at some big shindig honoring those who fought in the war and Heather reminiscing a bit on their lives together. I finally decided it would make the most sense to show how they got together instead of showing them together far down the line.
Have you thought of maybe writing some your ideas as vignettes? It might help get out some of the side stories that are demanding to be written along with the main storyline you've been kicking around. I can say that doing that has helped me out a bit. I would love to read some of your ideas...good luck!
