I was musing earlier today about how happy and safe it made me feel to eat a serving of chocolate ice cream. I added this to some information I received at Thorn's Chicago workshop about how my body size relates to feelings of safety. I decided to investigate information about emotional eating issues. Emotional eating quiz

You can get a basic score free; for $6.95, they'll send a detailed report. I didn't order that. It's not a bad quiz, but I did think that on some questions, respondents should have been able to choose multiple answers if those applied. I think if the survey instrument were scored in that way, it would be a better assessment tool. Given its length, I think it still is more valid than most on-line tests I've seen.

Having had overnight to think about it, I have less issue with my score. I think the problem is emotional, to be sure, but perhaps not what would be diagnosed as emotional eating.

What I need is an inexpensive, Pagan and Poly-friendly therapist. In the St. Louis Area. And yes, I've looked on line. There is exactly one, and she says nothing about sliding fee scales.

Yet another savings goal.
