My portable water-spraying fan broke and I find myself overheating in its absence. Short of dragging around a bucket of icecubes around, which I shall inevitably throw at people passing by, what are people's recommendations for staying cool

Cold baths/showers, swimming. I've always found relaxing in a cool tub while reading a book to be most enjoyable.

I imagine you have a few people willing to allow you bathroom access. Of course, you are free to use the Aphrodite cabin if you want and there are always the Turkish baths. Perhaps those have been cooled for summer usage.

No I think the turkish baths are probably still functioning as usual. To make the hot rooms even more effective.

Bathing for ages in the Zeus cabin seems like an awkward idea.
