Where are you taking your course. I took one from Camosun College so many years ago.

It was a single day intro course done by a guy named Jake James. He's a blacksmith out in metchosin. He was trained at a blacksmithing college in England then was apprenticed to a smith who had been doing it for 30 years. He has been practicing now for 8 years. He will be offering more classes at beginner, intermediate and advanced over the next few months.
