I'd pick careerbuilder.com because it's a nationally recognized company. I've never heard of ASAP and while it's apparently an international company, I think that having a place that people will recognize more readily will be a plus on your resume. And in most places, you'll be learning all those practical, computery things anyway. I also think you need a "vibrant" work environment to thrive in. When you were at both places, which one did you feel more at ease in? What's your gut reaction to the environment and people? Because if they're comparable in the hard facts, then it might just come down to where will you be happiest going to work each morning?

that's all very very true...

What stops me, though, is the type of work I might be doing at ASAP. There, it would be more account management, "warm" calls, and overall more versatility in what I would be doing versus primarily prospecting and cold calling at CareerBuilder. So even though there's fewer people my age at least I wouldn't be bored. Also, I would learn about software licensing and a lot of things that would be more transferable to a different job. It is widely recognized in the business world as one of the very top software resellers; business folk know who ASAP is. They're both good companies.

I wanna start classes on Thursday!

I thought Madison began on the first of September, which is Thursday. It makes more sense, I think, because you can go your initial MWF and TR. I bet you're zooming through your calanders right now, looking for the info :-)

ASAP was indeed poked. Sue called me, I told her that I'd gotten an offer. She told Jennifer, the lady that referred me to ASAP, who promptly went into her office to make a phone call to the hiring people. So ASAP knows and hopefully will get back to me sooner than Wednesday or at least not later than that day.

CB is more hip and young, lots of growth opportunities... I just don't know though. ASAP has been around a lot of years, is recession resistant, and I'd get a wider skill set from working there than from CB.

My chickens haven't hatched yet so I should bide my time. If ASAP does make me an offer and it's same base pay and everything as CB, I might lean differently than if the offer has a higher salary base.

You're so lucky/smart that you know what you want to do and don't doubt the places and paths that you're choosing.
