In the (probably vain) hope of shielding myself from unwanted eyes seeing my ramblings here and disseminating them elsewhere, I've decided to start making my old posts "friends only". I'll always leave my most current posts available to the world for a week or two, so that if a non-friend stumbles across them and likes my scribbles and wants to ( Read more... )

I went friends only a while ago with no regrets. I received a few rude posts from strangers and even some spam promoting video game sites. Who needs that? I also don't need my employer checking up on me, as we do work in very public positions.

I support you decision and wish you all the best!

Will do....although I can't imagine what you get from my somewhat 'light' posts compared to what you blog about. But if you want a bit of levity/vapidness, feel free to browse!

The map lags behind clicks, unfortunately.

When you click on the map, it shows you a list of locations - and it does show a hit from Sydney, Australia. However, the map only gets refreshed once a day....

By the way - just wanted to check that you realize this particular post is not a new one - it's one I keep at the very top of my homepage by giving it a date in 2017, so that new arrivals can see it. My new posts are below this one..

Actually, my friend bear_left taught me that trick. Give a post a date in the future, and it will stay at the top of your LJ...
