:( What'd you get surgery for?

I say Self-surgery for lack of a better term. It's an in-office procedeure, but it's still cutting back my nail(s), removing nail-root, and appropriate flesh in a manner that keeps the nail from slowly cutting my toes in two, that would otherwise allow pain, inability to walk and infection.

I've gotten in the habit of doing it myself. It's just as clean a job, just as good results, and, unfortunately, sometimes, just as bloody.

It takes less time, anesthetic-free, and in PA saves me 300 bucks. (it's 35 bucks in CA. Go figure.)

Get some non-stick gauze, sweetheart.

Nono-- the blood starts to the congeal and hardens around and through the gauze. Removing gauze is re-tearing wounds... but it's for the better given the specific circumstances.
