American Holiday!

May 03, 2011 10:41

Me and the BFF are travelling to America again this year - LA, Orlando, Dallas, Georgia and New York!

Just wondering, is there any sites my american friends go for cheap flights? And which airline do you prefer, if any?

I always use Priceline.com. I've used them for flights and hotels. If you're looking for just hotels, it's cheaper to go directly to the hotel's website and book there.

Everyone in my family always flights Continental (expect for when my brother is going from Brazil to Houston for work, he uses Delta Air--the company flies him).

Have a great time!

Yay!

I used airfare.com for my London flight because travelocity, priceline and expedia were all way beyond what I could afford. I was on United Airlines, my friend flew Delta, but that's because she waited until the very last minute to book tickets.

Kayak.com is a great tool for searching multiple sites at once. Like I just did a search from Des Moines to Dublin and got results ranging from $354+ extreme tax to $1,021+ tax. It also does hotels, cars, deals, etc.

If you go to Orlando I hope you can make it to Universal Studios or Disney. In high school we went to Florida on a school trip -- SeaWorld and Disney were so much fun, even as a petulant, know-it-all sixteen year old. It's like the older you get the more you want to experience or something.

Now you've got me all amped for a proper vacation. My goal is to some day visit each state, and then work my way through the countries of the world.

Is Delta alright? For some reason I heard Delta was a bit dodgy...

Yes! In Orlando we are going to Universal Studios! Very amped for Harry Potter World XD lol

hahahha is it funny that one of MY goals is to visit each American state? lol Australia is really fed by American news and television shows. Its a bit sad really, we lack our own real culture. Ive only been to three states here but Ive been to 5 American states. Ive been to Disneyland five times.

And just recently Ive seen Disneyland advertised on tv! Its pretty much cheaper to fly to LA and go to disneyland than it is to travel within Australia to say go to the northern territory to see ayers rock. And its just a rock. Theres no space mountain on top of it. like...come on.

Southwest is usually cheap and no frills for sure.

Have fun!
