I'm going for my first facial ever on Friday.  While my friend Nicole and I were walking around the SU building, this chic walked up to us who was offering spa packages to students for $55 that are worth around $400, so duh, we went for it.  With it, I get a facial, pedicure, manicure, and hair removal.  At first I thought it was a scam, but I'm ( Read more... )

What a deal!

I'm not a big fan of the facial, they always make me break out. And then people are like "oh it's just the bad stuff coming to the surface". Uh huuuh, sure.

Ooh, thanks for reminding me. It better not break me out. Perhaps that's a good thing though because now you don't have the desire to waste so much money on something that shouldn't cost a fraction of what it does. Ultimate win.

The scam part is when they charge people $400 for a facial, mani, pedi and hair removal. $55 is a good deal for all of that, though.

Exactly, which is why I thought this was a(nother) scam because I didn't think any spa would ever drop the prices that much. Unless they were desperate for customers or something, which is sketchy and kind of says something.
