To Yusuf, chemistry was his default language. People were problems not so easily solved. It wasn't that he couldn't appreciate a pretty woman or man and a bit of conversation, of course, but for the most part he preferred the company of of the predictable and understandable.

Occasionally, security companies like to hire out to the men and women who worked off the grid.

It kept them sharp, it kept them on the cusp, and she needed information and this man (or so other sources said) was a great source. A fountain of running water.

Or at least running drugs.

She settled comfortably into the chair to wait, hand on her stomach, fully unaware of the looking of longing on her face for yusef's...drugs.

Eames had learned quite a few things about chemists over the years. He had never been a heavy drug user, even in his younger years when recreational drug use was a social activity, but every so often he did find himself more than a bit interested. Hallucinogens did wonderful things to your perception, and even he could admit that he wouldn't have gotten to where he was in his field without the occasional trip or two. The thing about chemists though, was that they could never be trusted, not with what they were putting into your body. No matter how much they charged, it took a lot for Eames to trust a chemist. He never went first, never took what the creator wouldn't. Chemists were tricky ( ... )
