Robert is a chocolatier and Eames comes in every day to buy a box of chocolates. One day he buys one for Robert.

"Hullo."

Robert looks up and smiles--a real one, not his professional one. "Good morning, Mr. Eames! How are you today?"

Eames sighs melodramatically. "Bereft. Absolutely bereft."

"Ah . . . chocolates still not working?" Robert begins folding a Fischer Chocolatiers box to fill with Eames's usual (chocolate bon-bons with a creamy strawberry filling).

"Still not working," Eames confirms, leaning on the counter. "Box after box after box, and he still doesn't seem to know I exist."

"Hmm." Robert grabs the scoop. "A pound, as usual?" When Eames nods, Robert scoops out a pound to the ounce with years of practice. "Well, if the chocolates aren't working, you may want to try something else--not that I'm eager to lose one of my best customers, but . . . I do like to see my customers happy."

Eames watches Robert arrange chocolates in the box, pouting a bit. He has the most sinful lips Robert has ever seen, and it never does to look at them for too long, lest he actually say so aloud.

"So, what do you think I should try?" Eames asks, ( ... )

OH GOD, FLUFF. EAMES/ROBERT FLUFF. ANON, YOU HAVE MADE MY LIFE COMPLETE.

*squeed so hard* And Robert being oblivious to the whole thing!
Robert smiles a little, tapping his fingers on the box. "I. . . ."

"Have a boyfriend?"

"No."

"Are straight?"

Robert snorts.

I absolutely loved this part!

When Eames looks back, Robert grabs a pen from next to the cash register and quickly scribbles 5284910 on the top of Eames's chocolates. Always happy to see the numbers from the movie showing up in fics :D Great job!

This was so adorable, my god. ROBERT, YOU ARE SO CUTE WHEN YOU'RE OBLIVIOUS. It also made me crave chocolate like crazy. So sweet! ♥

omg--didn't even realize i was eating from a box of chocolates whilst readin this. i don't even ship the two of them and all i could think was, "shame they can't have kids--imagine the MOUTHS they would have!" chocolate heaven...fluffy bunnies everywhere...
