i'm not sure if this is exactly what the OP had in mind, as it's more Eames' POV, but this is how it happens in my head. one ticket for the jailbait!Arthur train to hell please.Working this case should be the highlight of Eames’ year. It’s the first time a senior partner has asked specifically to work with him. It could set several legal precedents if they win. It could be a very nice stepping stone toward partner for him. Love how you've managed to show the dichotomy of Arthur's self-assurance with his inherent teenage-ness even though this is in Eames POV.

The next night Eames begs out of going to Diane's. No need to tempt fate if he can help it. Besides, they need to find more case law to back up their arguments and the office is better equipped for that kind of research. Diane agrees and doesn't seem put off by it, much to his relief. He stays until midnight, writes up a very thorough report, and miraculously spends very little time thinking about Arthur. He’s relieved, even a little pleased with himself at his restraint ( ... )

sorry for the delay in this next part, i was away for the week, plus the porn kind of ran away from me... but this is mostly done now, i'll finish up in the next few days. thank you all so much for the kind words and encouragement!!!

Eames wakes sometime later to a metallic sort of rattle. It takes him a minute to orient himself - he’s at Diane’s, that’s right, and it’s the middle of the night. And someone is coming into the room... which is not right at all. He pushes up on one elbow and wills his eyes to adjust to the dark. He can hear the door close again and the lock flick back into place.

“Who’s there?”

“Shhh...”

Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck. He’s wide awake now. “Arthur, how did you get in here ( ... )

Eames hates himself for silently agreeing. He would make it feel good; he wants so badly to make Arthur feel good. “Arthur, I could lose my job. I could lose a lot more than that.” He realizes he’s talking like he’s actually considering this.

“Or I could help you…” Arthur says coyly, drifting a hand up Eames’ bare chest and licking his lips ( ... )
