Would prefer less skeevy and more seduction-at-a-distance-and-in-silence, if filler so desires. Either POV would actually be fine.
This is in no way related to the layout of my own building or a person I see from it. *shifty eyes*

I didn't find the comments misogynistic if taken in context of the character and their condition (yes I'm a woman who appreciates that the world isn't perfect in regards to how women in modern western societies are treated socially). I understand that people could look at it that way, but in context I don't think it's valid.
If you ever do decide to change that part of the story in future, be very careful to ensure you can make the same kind of point about the character and their state of mind, and just as efficiently, without changing the implicit sense of the character or story itself. I'd hate to see a knee-jerk reaction change the story to something less.
Yes, I liked what you wrote that much. ;)

And I hope my note didn't come off as asking for support or a rallying against the person who complained; I just wanted to have it available, in case anyone else felt similarly, because I could see where that interpretation came from.
Regardless, I'm glad you enjoyed the fill.

It's a rare thing, but I really heard Yusuf's voice in this. You did so well on his characterization, especially. I felt for Eames as a stuck-in-a-rut writer. And no, I didn't find his thoughts offensive. They were sadly in character for his mood and his bitterness. Some people just need to get over themselves.
BUT! This was wonderful. I was hooked by the first few lines. I'd love to see more of yours, if you care to point the way. Anon or not, you're a great writer.
