Eames was in Mombassa to have Arthur's child. Nobody from the dream-team knew about it. Arthur gets suspicious after the Inception job, when he wants to have a repeat of their one-night stand and Eames refuses. Arthur tracks him down and finds out about his baby boy.

Maybe Yusuf was the medical go-to throughout the pregnancy? TH looked kind of poofy, of course in real life it's muscle mass, but for the purpose of this story, a mention on Eames' weight gain would make my day.

Hope this gets filled! I've been playing the scenarios in my head but can't even form a proper request let alone a fic. :)

Limped out in a grey, baggy t-shirt and boxers, Eames was asleep on his double bed amongst a mess of sheets. As he sipped in the night air, he was vaguely conscious of the faucet dripping from bathroom sink, the sound overpowering the whir of the overhead fan spinning in slow motion, the insects clicking outside and the cool rain spilling from dark grey clouds, pushing out the rising heat that had been pressing down on Mombasa for the last few days ( ... )

OP here. Thank you SO much for writing this! I can feel the malancholy. Arthur really needs to come and rescue Eames from his PPD.

lovely writing, and such an interesting beginning, eames not being happy at all.

“Coo-eeeeeeee!” is the first thing that booms out of Eames’ laptop after he had reluctantly accepted the video-call request from his mother and the sudden burst of noise caused Eames to jump out of his sleep-deprived state and William startled in his snug bouncer chair that was on the tiled floor ( ... )

Eames hummed, slumping back into his seat, eyelids floating shut for a few moments, blotting out the chaos of baby paraphernalia that travelled all the way from the tiny, taupe teddy bear on the couch arm to bottles and teats scattered around the kitchen cabinets on the other side of the cramped room. Usually he kept his places relatively tidy but it had somehow gotten in such a mess that he didn’t know where to start ( ... )

squee, i'm so glad you updated, i can't wait til daddy arthur makes an appearance ... i'm sorry i just realized i didn't mention your RL issues and i do hope things get better and stay better, for purely selfish reasons of course ;)
