I'm actually writing out recipes on cards and putting them in a box for the first time. I got tired of having little pieces of paper all over the kitchen, and Chris provided me with a box and some cards.
Now I have to decide how to organize them. What sections would you make in a vegetarian recipe box?

could you organize by culture (indian cuisine, japanese...?) or how about autobiographical ("i need to look for this under 1996 because that's when so-and-so came over for dinner and i burned it.")
or alphabetical by major ingredient. or salads/entrees/desserts. or
this is why i keep them on disk - searchable. i'm too forgetty.

I was toying with the culture idea, but then what do you do with unknown stuff?

Really, I don't write down recipes, which is why nothing ever turns out the same way twice, but hey, that's life. Wait, no, that's EXCITEMENT!

Those look like good categories. I think I might be a little obsessive about sections too. I figure eventually it'll get full, even if it isn't now!
Thanks :)
