Ahhh, I love this. Dom and acting. Billy and his learning experiments.

The clerk folds a different sort of receipt and presses it neatly into Billy’s hand in a gesture that makes something inside Dominic twist pleasantly again, curiosity and fear and need all warming him at once and chasing away his worries.

This is like a tapestry that seems simple at first but the more I look at it, the more is going on.
