So Mark came down again this weekend!  ^_^  We went out to lunch with Christine (one of my Korean coworkers - she's fucking AMAZING, btw!) and Carissa (the newest teacher at Saha's CDI April branch right down the street).  We had some kind of "famous" cold noodles... they were basically soba (buckwheat) noodles in a really tasty broth with slices ( Read more... )

We have Shabu shabu in the States? Seriously? Like... where? Cause I had never had it til I came here. 0_o? It's OKAY... IMHO... but nothing I really need to eat every day... and its one of the more expensive meals here. I much prefer a nice scalding bowl of bi bim baap or just a plain old onigiri from the convenience store. And yes, I went there... they're DELICIOUS! XD

Oh, and on top of my banana milk, I've discovered Sunkist has this stuff called Cherryade... it literally tastes like I'm going to town on the best, freshest cherries of the season! *in love* It's probably like 3% actual juice and like 95% sugar, but what do I care? It tastes good... and it's GOT to be better for me than Coke, soo.... YAY!

Anyway... I miss you! Get on AIM and TALK to me sometime! T_T

Um, yes? There's a place on..Newtown..I think it was(?) that has it....but yeah. they have Shabu Shabu there...but it is kinda expensive ($36 as a 'two person' meal). Onigiri is..okay. I'm not particularly fond of it, but I don't dislike it either I guess.

We used to have banana milk here, it was good..I wonder why they don't anymore? And that Cherry stuff sounds good, though it might make me dead. Or at least give me an amazing headache...

Haha, maybe... it MIGHT be more juice than I think... I'm just used to American juices where it's like 4% juice and most of that is NOT the juice flavor that you're drinking at all. T_T But I'm illiterate here, so who knows... it might be 100% cherry juice for all I know. But yeah, it STILL might make you dead. T_T

I guess onigiri aren't my absolute favorite, but the novelty value at this point is pretty fantastic. And I've developed a soft spot for crunchy nori around sticky rice. It's just GOOD!
