Character info
Series/Fandom: Final Fantasy VII Compilation
Character's Name: Kadaj
Character's Sex: Male
Character's Age: Looks to be in his teens, but is only a few days old.
Canon point: Post-death.
Abilities:
Kadaj is a skilled swordsman, much like Sephiroth. He also possesses inhuman agility. His strength is likely equal to that of an Olympic athlete’s. Loz is the one with the pure inhuman strength. Kadaj’s power lies in his speed, and his ruthlessness.

Kadaj’s supposed limit break, honestly, kind of sucks. In my opinion, anyway. He made some water at the Forgotten Capital dark, and by telling the children with Geostigma it would heal them, persuaded them to drink it. Doing so awoke the “Reunion Instinct”, which he hoped would work in his favor in tracking down JENOVA. It should be noted that this ability only works on those who carry JENOVA cells within them and not those who don’t carry the cells. Likely, he will never use it here.

Perhaps one of his most interesting abilities is his ability to absorb materia into his body. This suggests the true artificiality of his body, held together by a will of thoughts. Like Loz and Yazoo, it is also shown he doesn’t bleed when hurt, though he can still suffer the same damage as others. Kadaj can summon Bahamut-SIN, but he needs the right materia to do so. His ability to summon will be gone when entering the game.
Background: FF Wiki
Appearance: 1, 2, 3

And, randomly, as Kadaj doesn’t have any stats listed I have decided to say he’s 5’4”.
Personality:
Kadaj is all contradictions. He may act calm, as if he’s in control, but the slightest thing can set him off. He’s volatile, unstable -- he embodies Sephiroth’s madness, after all. He takes pleasure in inflicting pain on the people he believes deserve it. As far as he is concerned, practically everyone deserves it. Kadaj is hardly submissive. He’s not trusting enough to be. He despises liars, and hates being lied to, though despite his suspicions he can be blind to some glaring truths. He was probably meant to be the leader of the SHM, but likely he’s too untrusting to be anything else. The only exception the rule is JENOVA, and on a more reluctant level, Sephiroth.

Kadaj is very childish. To be fair, he is only a few days old. His knowledge of the world is very limited. Basically, he only knows as much as Sephiroth and JENOVA needed him to know. In his own way, he’s pretty naïve. He is intelligent, and charismatic in his own way, but these traits are often shadowed by his immaturity. He isn’t opposed to throwing tantrums--destructive tantrums that involve ruining whatever is in sight, but tantrums nonetheless--when things are out of his control. He is a pure, innocent form of cruelty, truly believing what he does to be the right thing.

Another one of Kadaj’s outstanding traits would be his determination. Kadaj will go to any means necessary to reach his goals. He’ll withstand countless stab wounds and still find the will in himself somewhere to go and charge at his attacker. He will ignore his limits, believing he has none, bringing himself to the brink of destruction and pass just to prove himself.

In all his boldness, Kadaj still has feelings of inadequacy. Most of these revolve around he being a remnant of Sephiroth. He’ll snap at any mention of being a puppet, or sub-par son, anything that suggests he’s less than Sephiroth. The mere idea of Sephiroth being chosen above him, leaving him to be discarded, drives him mad. Yet even that is not enough to dampen his obsessive devotion to JENOVA.

Kadaj may be a remnant of Sephiroth, but he has the potential to be his own person. Many of his thoughts are influenced by Sephiroth’s will, but his desire to win JENOVA’s approval, to be the chosen son, and to be loved by the virus he views as his mother, are his alone.

Action/Journal Sample:
[When the video turns on, Kadaj is shown talking to a Moogle.]

What are you?!

I'm a Moogle, Kupo! Welcome to Traverse Town, Kupo--

No, I don't think so. I think you're a fake. If you're not going to tell me where Mother is, you might as well serve some purpose!

[He then proceeds to attack the Moogle, pained cries heard from the creature. Kadaj turns to face the communicator. His eyes are glazed over and his hair is limper than usual.]

You claim that some thing known as Darkness took that world, when I know there is only one person capable of doing what you say. Not this idea you’ve made up, but something much worse, and you just stole away Her Son like you once stole Her. Do you have any idea what that means for you?! Of course not! Allow me to show you.

[He moves the camera away from his face to show the mutilated Moogle on the ground. For a moment, the only sound is his deranged giggling.]

That’s just to give you an idea. That doll lied to me, so I made things right again. No one can keep me from Mother. Not even any void. I’ll find Her again, and when I do--

[He walks over to the Moogle, picking it up off the ground. He tosses it a few times in the air, before hugging it to his chest much like a stuffed doll. He giggles again.]

You get to be our audience.

[With nothing else to say, he pushes the creature against the wall, and stabs it through with his katana.]

That was fun. Are there more of these?

He didn’t understand.

Pain. Blinding pain. He had been consumed by it, falling into an abyss where he remained trapped for who knew how long. He couldn’t be certain how much time had passed. All he knew was he was alone. Mother wasn’t there. Not even a voice.

When he had pictured his Reunion, he had thought it would be something better.

Freedom, it proved, was fatal. Kadaj didn’t understand where the injuries had come from, why he could hardly stand, but he saw Cloud, his traitor Brother, standing in front of him and he knew then who to blame.

He fell before he could retaliate, and when he heard Her sweet voice the sky went dark. At first, Kadaj rejoiced, believing Mother was stepping in and giving her wrath to all who deserved it. He was wrong, and now he was here, in some alien town he knew nothing about. He hated that. Hated being out of control, being left in the dark, just like before. Things were supposed to change and get better, not circle back.

Mother wasn’t here though. Even Brother wasn’t here. The remnant was surprised himself, but even Brother would have been better. It would have been someone to blame. To hurt. He was numb to anything else, running on adrenaline and fury. Grabbing Souba, he began to walk around aimlessly. He needed a target, preferably one with information. None of this was right, and to make it right, make it better the way he was supposed to he needed information. He didn’t know where to start, but if he tortured enough people, maybe…

He felt like screaming, but settled for taking it out on someone else.

Back at square one.
Notes: I can’t think of anything!
