Effects: Extreme happiness.
It was outside, in one of the gardens. Nunnally parked herself in her wheelchair in the middle of one of the small pavillions. It had been an abnormal day - she had wanted to dress herself up. She looked down as she smoothes her hands over an
orange dress, running her fingers gently over the fabric. She didn't quite know why she wanted to wear this dress today. It was a party dress; a dress that would be better shown off on a ballroom floor instead of hidden in a garden on a girl that couldn't show it off properly.
She felt selfish.
Shaking her head, she looked up to realize that she wasn't alone in the pavillion. Somehow she was surrounded by some of the people closest to her - Schneizel, Clovis, Suzaku, Milly, Marianne, Lelouch, and many others. It was then that Lelouch stepped forward to her, extending his hand.
Not really knowing why she did it, Nunnally took hold of her brother's hand, and he gently guided her to her feet. As her feet touched the ground, a small smile appeared on her face. It was like she had never stopped walking. No unstable knees, no clumsy feet - as if she had never been paralyzed in the first place.
"May I have this dance, Nunnally?"
She couldn't speak, only nod as Lelouch led her into a dance. Her feet led her through the steps of the waltz as if they knew them by heart. It wasn't long before she was laughing with more happiness she'd felt in a while.
One two three, one two three--
The feeling of her dress fluttering around her legs as she danced was a feeling that she thought she'd never feel again. Something that she had taken for granted, all of those years ago. But still, she looked away from her brother for a moment to see the fabric shift and flare out around her when they spun.
It was a moment that seemed like it like it should've gone on forever. Her responsive legs in time to the music (that had suddenly been heard when they had started dancing), as she had never missed a moment. But as all things must end, it ended far too soon, and the dance ended.
The scene was fading as the people around them cheered--
[And Nunnally awoke, smiling. She turns over, not realizing the Dreamberry's on, and snuggles more into her pillow. Maybe if she went to sleep again soon, she could pick up where she left off. Walking. Dancing. Being with the ones she loves--
The Dreamberry times out on its own.]
