Adachi had imagined himself becoming furious, losing control and slipping into that chasm Annowre seemed to have pried open within him. Instead, he finds himself drawing back from a confrontation. He's wary, apprehensive, careful. He needs to find a loophole. This boy is the key.
So he says, unable to conceal the childish, sullen tone:]
Exactly.
[He refrains from reminding Seta that, regardless of their origin, he can control these lesser Shadow in much the same way he could in the TV World. The boy's naive, but he isn't an idiot; he probably already knows.]
