I've had an interesting fourth of July week. Let's see, Debbie and I dropped the kids off at her mom's house and headed out on a road trip. We went through Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. Along the way, we stopped at the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, TX. It's a bunch of 60s model Cadillacs buried nose-down in the dirt. Kind of ( Read more... )

Congratulations!!!

By the way, it's the evil truckers. They're the bane of my existence. I really think they do it on purpose just to slow you down. It happens to me so often and not just in Kansas. Though I'm surprised you didn't mention how horrifically bad it smells in Kansas with all the feed lots.

Did you drive through Denver?

It wasn't the trucks that gave us problems. It was just the stupid Kansas drivers. As for the smell, we only ran into it one time when we stopped at a gas station.

And yes, we actually stayed the night in Denver. I showed her Lookout Mountain and we ate at Casa Bonita. It was pretty fun.

Casa Bonita! Ha ... Haven't been there yet ... Lookout Mountain either. 'Course, I spend most of my free time on the plains. ;)

No shit!? You were a 7-7-7? Awesome!

It would have been cool to meet up with you. Now I'm wishing I would have posted something about it before we went. We were there from the 2nd to the 5th. If you were there on the 4th, did you see any fireworks displays? We were on the strip for over 2 hours waiting and didn't see anything.

We were there from the 4th to the 10th. They don't have fireworks on the fourth...it's too dry during that time. They have their big fireworks over the new year. Again...congrats. We are growing up soooo fast aren't we ;) Yeah..we were a 7-7-7. Roger picked that day when we got engaged. So other than that...how are you? How is Debbie? How are the kids?
