I did not realise that the last series of Battlestar Galactica was twice as long as the rest of them.I was avoided on line discussions because of dangers of spoilers. I was thus slightly bemused how the current disk set ended (the last half is to be released next week). Actually it did tie in with not tying up loose ends and the bleak theme of the

The Season 4 box-set only has half as many episodes as Seasons 2 or 3 (but about the same as Season 1, which was a short mid-year replacement). originally Season 4 was meant to be a full-length season, but the Writer's Strike intervened, so only the first ten episodes (plus 'Razor') could be made. The remainder have now been completed, and begin broadcast on US TV next month (I don't think they will be out on DVD for a bit). To add to confusion, these episodes are being referred to in some quarters as Season 5 and in others as the end of Season 4 - it remains to be seen what the official line will be.
