I just checked on a replacement bulb for my spare projector (yes I have a spare projector) and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was now half the cost it used to be.  The reason I have a spare projector is because when I was originally looking for a replacement bulb (pre-emptively) the cost made it more worthwhile to consider a new
