So Franken has been declared the winner by the lower courts, but Coleman, the sore loser that he is (I have far choicer words), wants to push it to the State Supreme Court. This is expected and "sadly" within his rights to do. But it is only a delaying tactic to keep Franken from being seated. Franken will win at the State Supreme Court level, ( Read more... )

Pawlenty was on MPR today, and his implication was basically that even if the state supreme court hands down a decision in favor of Franken, if Coleman tries to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, he will let that play out before he signs a certificate. So... we have that to look forward to, I suppose. >.< I just with Coleman wasn't such a jackass.

ETA: The upshot is that the ruling was unanimous, so that should make further proceedings less... interesting. It's already been established that the challenge to the state supreme court should take a month at most, I believe.
