I've always thought myself a girl with a small amount of close friends. Sure, I'd like to have lots and lots of casual friends--but I've always valued knowing people closely, as completely as possible--because to me, that's the only thing I like to think I have to count on at the end of a long day. at least the cars stop... miami is the number one city in the nation for pedestrian and bicyclist fatalities, i think it's got more catty bullshit than that though, not that your school doesn't, but i dont think that people grow out of it, and that you're going to have to accept that some people aren't worth befriending or continuing relationships with ( ... )

I don't talk to people in any of my classes unless I have to, I just hate small talk. I'd rather sit there, bored.

my dear lovely alex... no matter how bad things seem right now just know that you have made my experience at usf so much better. there are times when i feel if not for you i'd have no friends at that place. so cheer up and know that you are loved, okey dokey?

as corny as it sounds, i do know how you feel. i've just come to the conclusion that if people are really worth your friendship, they'll stick around even when you want to be boring and alone. sometimes the best conversations with friends don't have any words. it's about quality, not quantity, and all that cliche stuff.

and the cars and crossing the street thing, totally true.

maybe usf is just an unfriendly place...my cousin seems to be having the same problems.
