So who beat England today? Was it the light; the Duckworth-Lewis calculations, or just India once again?

Of course it was India who beat England today. Dob't blame duckworth/lewis for that. Given the state of the match when play stopped, India were the favorites to win the match, and the D/L system only reflects that. I think D/L is the fairest system that we have for dealing with truncated matches

England will have to admit that it did not have enough runs on the board or the firepower to restrict India. To begin with, Ravi Bopara, Ian Bell, Owais Shah and Andrew Flintoff got off to good starts but did not convert them into big scores. Then, James Anderson was off colur on a bad day.
And, just look at the scenario in the end. India’s sixth-wicket pair of Dhoni and Yusuf Pathan was at the crease, the team needing 43 runs in nine overs. England, on the contrary, had bowled out the off-spinner Graeme Swann while Chris Broad and Andrew Flintoff had just an over each left to complete their quota of 10.
