Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor reaction. Possibly one of many.

My thoughts are all so jumbled up. I don't even know where to start!

Gallifrey is alive.

At first I wondered, do I hate it? Do I love it?

The end of Gallifrey, the genocide of the Time Lords was such a huge part of the Doctor's character. He carried so much pain with him, so much regret and now?

Hope.

Huh.

I love characters that carry darkness, that have that painful edge, but ... change.

This show has survived because of change. Changing doctors, changing companions, changing enemies and storylines. So perhaps this starts a new chapter. A chapter and adventure of hope.

I've decided that for now I love it.
