Take some time off if you know you're going to be coming back for sure. Just keep fresh with the material in your downtime, maybe read ahead a little bit?

I will definitely be coming back. I mean, I submit my application again in December, so if I get in I'll start up in the summer. I just hate that idea of using my scholarship towards a semester where I'd basically be taking easy classes to pass the time, especially with tuition going up every year.

Yeah, definitely save your money and enjoy your vacation. I can't tell you how much doing semester after semester, summer after summer sucks without having a nice solid chunk of time to yourself. It's a drag, especially when you have the pre-conception that you will finish college in 4 years, and that doesn't happen. Recharge your batteries and come back with a full head of steam.

ugh Kate, I hate it when people are unfair to you. I love you and am so glad I get to see you in a week.
Things happen for a reason and looking back, you might be so happy this happened (especially if you go have an AWESOME time abroad this spring). Maybe you can stop in NJ on your way to wherever you go.

There is a nursing shortage and tons of great nursing schools out there that would take you in a heartbeat with that kind of transcript. I would actually bet money that if you applied to the top ten nursing programs, a majority of them on that list would take you. If the second app doesn't work (and I hope it does, I feel like you earned it) is there a reason why you can't ditch the ridiculousness of ASU and apply elsewhere?

i'm sorry you didn't get in, but i'm very impressed with your shining attitude!! you're awesome and it's smart of you to keep moving forward, it would only be a hindrance to take it personally. i agree with chrishaw's statement. i also think travelling and being awesome for awhile would be a good for you. also, though, when have you ever been able to enjoy phoenix when it's actually beautiful and bearable without having to be in school???
