Um, I don't know of any other way to say this
...but please don't.

This seriously scares me.

Oh Janessa, I appreciate the concern! It's probably not as scary as you think, though. Read my comment to Ellen.

wow...

im very anti-military, but free school? and no extra school? and an internship? could you serve as an army doctor or nurse? because that would be pretty great (in the helping people and saving lives sense... not the being on the front lines and seeing all our boys and girls messed up sense :/).

in the mean time ill pick up my fight to get this stupid war ended :(

I would serve my time as an Army nurse. So, while I would probably be active duty, I wouldn't be anywhere near the front line. I'd be stationed in a hospital on a military base, most likely in the US, though a base in Germany, Japan, etc. is also an option.

(And I'm not a fan of this war, either! For me, there's a huge difference between being patriotic and "let's get 'em terrist (misspelling intended))

That's a really good offer. As easy at it would be otherwise, I wouldn't listen to anyone's advice on how to resolve this besides your own. People are going to be overly-worried about your safety whenever the word military is mentioned, so many will say no. You'll be guaranteed a fantastic career with endless possibilities, but at the (infinitesimally small) risk that needs not to be mention. That's a big time life decision and commitment if you're ready for it. If you're ready to make that kind of choice, go for it. If you're not, wait.

I'm still not ready to make that choice either. The Navy has been offering me jobs since I became an engineer. But I don't feel that I'm ready to make that kind of choice about the rest of my life.

Trust only those closest to you; the ones ultimately concerned with your future. They can help guide your thought process, but the key word is "your."
