Continuing Problems at Work

So, were supposed to be paid on the 21st of the month. HA! Like that EVER happens. However, every 21st, I ask. Because usually, though the answer is not "today", I can get a status report on when we might get paid. Here is the process through which it goes ( Read more... )

If I'm not mistaken, every time your paycheck is late, I think they owe you that money with interest. Also, what they are doing is COMPLETELY illegal. ADP can put the signatures on the checks themselves for something ridiciously cheap. If you want more info on why what they're doing is completely illegal and what you can do about it, I'll talk to my boss, the perfectionist CPA. Frankly, I think it's time for you to move on from there. As they expand it's clear that their organizational problems as a business are not being cleaned up, and ultimately, it'll collaspe upon itself. You serisouly should have walked out as of the 21st . . .

Okay, a few things. First off, by some act of God, paychecks came today. I don't know how, unless they got EVERYTHING done yesterday, and had them sent out yesterday, so that ADP got the to us today, and no one sat on their hands at all (which is hard for me to fathom). However, it happened. So, two days isn't the end of my life. Secondly, the thing about the 21st is that it's not written anywhere. It's not a promise, and it's not in a contract or anything (like we have contracts). Just that, if you asked them, as a new hire, when do we get paid, they'll tell you "on the 21st of the month, for the month prior." So, I have little legal recourse. That said, I'm going to bed. But I would like the rest of that information. Thanks!

I don't work at ADP. ADP is a paycheck company whose services are used by the company for which I work. What shows? What band were you in?
