Well, personally, I don't think anything Craig said there was even remotely weird. In the same way, Holly went to see them and ended up chatting with him a couple of weeks ago- she relaid the whole conversation to me (which was 'conventionally' about ten times as odd as this interview) and yet I still think he's perfectly regular in most of his opinions of such things as rock and roll.
