Ha ha. Totally. It seems like the exodus has been happening for a while. I only listed the most recent people who were going to be leaving Brisbane. Another friend of mine Jess left a couple of months ago. In fact they've been leaving for years.
Maybe Melbourne is becoming like "little London". Everyone goes there to get away from Brisbane/Australia, but kinda ends up seeing so many aussies or brisbanites. I guess the indie music scene is the worst...so yeah, gigs are always going to be like that...ha ah.
Oh, Felicity will return...

Poor Robbo.
Do not fret. As long as there are a surfeit of indie lesbians in New Farm, indie fags in West End, and people you have fucked lurking around every corner, Brisbane will remain, more or less, the same.
I'm going to cook a big ol' Chinese banquet for Fliss and the gang tonight, complete with whole cooked fish and wood ear fungus. I know how much you like eating weird shit, so it's a shame it'll have to be microwaved when you get back from Iron On-ing today.
Will duty-free Bombay Sapphire gin cheer you up at all?
Yeah well I had to fucking try didn't I? Especially seeing as your version of 54=200 was way better than my original. God, could we be stroking each other any more? Are you gay yet?
i was always kinda bummed when ppl were leaving bris for melbourne or wherever. :'c
i wished they'd stay instead and try to keep making bris more awesome.
i left to spend a few yrs OS, but i was always coming back. i felt like i had to get out at the time, but it was more about being over my job and feeling like i needed to go see how the other half lives while i could, rather than really wanting to leave bris. i was free and unattatched & ready for something different & didn't wanna stick around and get 'tangled up' to the point where i wouldn't be willing to ditch everything and take off later..
now i'm just ready to come home again and stay put. ;)
it's still a bummer when a whole bunch of ppl leave at once tho. :c
and the bigger things too. :'/
out've curiosity, how many takes per how many songs & what're u recording 'em on?
Hey, no of course I don't mind you commenting. I love people commenting.
In terms of recording, I did four tracks (guitar and vocals simultaneously) into an apple laptop. I don't know what kinda software lawrence was using...he also had some hardware thing... I had no idea what it was. Sorry, not really helping here am I? Ben might know...
Takes...umm...I did the first song in one take. Second in three or four. Third in about nine...kept fucking up the intro...and the last in two takes. Lucky I practiced beforehand!

Robbo crookshank, I know this feeling all too well when a couple of years ago all my mates were leaving too. Trust me, i dont want to be deserting you either! And i know that it sux because email and phone is never as good as the old 2 hour chat on the couch with cask wine and doritos and bad tv, but i will be back before you know it!!!!!!!! It does seem slightly ludicrous when things are so fantastic here and we have our amazing little house but who knows, change can bring all sorts of good things.....hmmm.....but listen don't feel deserted because you know that i'll be back before you know it and we will just have to have a marathon chat on the couch to make up for this absence, but maybe we will upgrade to a bottle of wine, not cask, because you know, we're growing up and all......oh you poor poppet, i will miss you heaps!!!!!!! and dont worry i'll be on the phone checking up on you and your sexual escapades, lotsa love, Flissy

Oh Fliss! I just read your post. I didn't even know you read my live journal...ha ha. Anyway, I definately don't feel like you are deserting me. You are going away to have a really fucking amazing time travelling the world. I am SO jealous. You know I'd be doing the same thing if I wasnt' in a band. Take care my possum. I love you, and miss you already! See you in six months.

every time i turn around @ a gig in melbourne, i see another face from brisbane.
it's nice to have some familiar faces around, but part of me thinks that the reason i left was to get some anonymous time.
