I feel bad for the evacuees too, but not as much those who live in Texas as those from Louisiana that escaped to Texas after Katrina.

Hope you get through OK and I'll be thinking of you all the time :)

why the hell do you feel worse for the katrina evacuees?
do you realize that this hurricane is worse than that one?

it is the size of the entire state of texas, the third biggest storm in the recorded history of hurricanes, and you're going to say you don't feel as bad for us?

you may not be seeing the video of people stranded on highways trying to escape, with impending disaster looming ahead, but i do, and therefore, i think that your lack of sympathy is pathetic.

I didn't mean it like that. I do feel sorry for you guys but I feel more sorry for many of the Katrina victims that have gone to Texas because of Katrina (which according to Wikipedia is the 5th biggest hurricane to go over the Atlantic and the 3rd biggest to hit land) only to have an even bigger storm come at them at the place they've fled to.

I'm sorry if I came across and unsympathetic, it's just I feel more for the Katrina evacuees because they're having to move for the second time but that doesn't mean I don't feel for the people already in Texas.

Anyway, judging by the weather round the world this year, I'd like to see how anyone could deny global warming. Big tornado's in Britain, huge amounts of rain causing landslides in the Alps, a drought in Portugal and Spain causing forest fires and two of the biggest hurricanes ever in less than a month.

I'm sorry again.. though I thought you might have realised that I'm not the sort of person that would mean anything like that :(

that's ok.
but SHUT THE HELL UP ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING!!
you are ridiculous.
it's complete bull shit.

and ummm... hello. most all of the katrina victims that got sent to texas have now been dispersed into oklahoma, kansas, and nebraska. they aren't here anymore.
get your facts straight before you form any sort of opinion or the lack thereof.
